Military Applications

These GreenTek+ SIPs have been in action at Camp Pendleton, between Los Angeles and San Diego on the Pacific Coast since October 2009.

The panels pictured are the original panels provided in 2009; these photos were taken in 2025.

The outbuildings provide shelter and stability from the harsh wind, heat, and saltwater of the Pacific Ocean. Even without windows and doors, the temperature inside remains substantially lower than the ambient Southern California temperatures.

These portable structures are made entirely of GreenTek+ panels, including the walls and roofs. The panels were designed with a flat-bottom finish, allowing them to be used without a foundation.

The shelters are light-weight, so two people can lift and relocate them in different configurations for various exercises.
